DEMO / RECORDING
Overview & Result
OpenRouter introduces typesafe/jev-router, a cache-aware router powered by TypeSafe Jev. Jev evaluates the conversation and helps choose a model and reasoning effort; the selected model generates the answer. The launch video explains the routing approach. Provider benchmark claims are not independently reproduced here.
How Jev fits in the loop
- Send a request through OpenRouter using typesafe/jev-router.
- Jev evaluates the request to support model and reasoning-effort selection.
- The router balances quality, speed and cost as the conversation changes, with cache awareness described by OpenRouter.
How to reproduce
- Watch the original launch video, then open the Jev Router page on OpenRouter.
- Use the provider’s current quickstart and typesafe/jev-router model ID. Review its routing metadata and actual account charges with a small task sample.
Why this build matters
Lets builders explore model selection without manually assigning every request to a model.
Limitations
- This is the integration provider’s demonstration, not a TypeSafe-authored benchmark or our own reproduction.
- A routing decision does not prove the downstream answer is correct. Provider availability and terms can change.
